11/9/16 Public Rezoning Meeting at 5:30 pm at the SCPS ESC in support of opening Longwood Elementary School.
Dear SCPS Families,
In August 2017, the School Board of Seminole County will be opening Longwood Elementary School to approximately 612 students. In order to create a school zone, SCPS is embarking on a rezoning that could potentially affect Highlands Elementary, Keeth Elementary, Lake Mary Elementary, Layer Elementary, Winter Springs Elementary, and Woodlands Elementary School attendance zones. At least three proposals will be presented tomorrow night, Wednesday, November 9th, at the Public Rezoning Meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Educational Support Center located at 400 E. Lake Mary Blvd., Sanford, FL 32773.
The three Alternative Plans are now available for your review. Simply visit our district website: www.SCPS.us and click on the Longwood Rezoning image at the top of the homepage in the photo slider. In addition, the direct link to the Longwood Elementary Rezoning page can be found at: http://www.scps.k12.fl.us/facilities/LongwoodESRezoning.aspx
The three Alternative Plans are listed below. Clicking on them will allow you to see the maps for Alternative Plan # 1,2, & 3 and will also allow you the opportunity to provide your comments and feedback for each plan. Feedback on the three Alternative Plans will close on 11/20 at 5 p.m.
