Arts Alive in Seminole! Saturday, Nov 11, 2017 Westin Lake Mary
The 21st annual fundraiser for the arts is presented by the Foundation for SCPS, and all proceeds are donated to fund performing and visual arts programs in our schools.
Arts Alive includes performances by talented SCPS students, teachers, and staff; live and silent auctions; visual art displays; a delicious dinner, and more! Funds raised at Arts Alive support district-wide events and programs including All-County Band and Chorus, and the Seminole County Marching Band Festival. In addition, each school receives art related grant funds to use as needed in their curriculum. Arts departments depend on Arts Alive for funds to purchase supplies, sheet music, theatre costumes and props, and much more. Our district continues to offer strong arts education for our children with music and art offered in every school. Every student at every school benefits, and your support is needed for this great event!
There are opportunities for PTA/PTSA to donate and support of the Foundation of SCPS Arts Alive in Seminole! as our missions are aligned. Please show your support by making a donation, no matter how large or small. All sorts of things are needed for the auction, gift baskets, funds for the purchase of gift cards, and more! Every PTA/PTSA that donates by Friday, October 20, 2017 will be acknowledged in the evening’s program, others may be recognized at the event if received later.
See the *Auction Donation Letter and Form for donation submission information.
There are opportunities to sponsor tickets to the event, or purchase your own tickets to attend.

SCCPTA & SCPS are partnering to collect donations for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Complete details, as well as a suggested donations list, is attached below.
Because the donations list is rather extensive and time is short, I'd like to suggest that you focus your collection on a few items. One of the best donation drives I've seen encouraged children to pick out a box of their favorite cereal to share with another child. It was very concrete and easy for children to understand. Something simple - a can of soup, a roll of paper towels, etc - may also be easier for busy parents.
Thank you for supporting this effort. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Saturday, August 19th, members of the SCCPTA Board will be available at the Panera Bread, South Sun Drive, Lake Mary. This is a drop-in type event -- you do not need to arrive at 9 AM or plan to stay until 11 AM. Come with your questions! Leave with our answers!
All purchases of food and beverages at Panera are on-your-own. You are under no obligation to make a purchase during this event.
I hope to see you Saturday!
