Bylaws - What Are They and Why Are They Required?
The Florida PTA has compiled a Bylaws Form that includes wording required by both Florida PTA and National PTA. Local PTAs in Florida are required to use the current form to be sure that all state requirements are included.
Is your PTA/PTSA Compliant?
- Are your Bylaws Compliant? Your local unit bylaws must be reviewed, updated on a current bylaws form, and approved by Florida PTA at least every 3 years - check the date of your bylaws. Reminder, once your bylaws have been updated and approved by your general membership, you will need to have the principal of your school and your PTA/PTSA president sign them before you submit them to Florida PTA. Every member of your board should receive and maintain a copy of the local unit’s bylaws.
